Today is New Year's Day. It's the day where we take stock of the previous year and look ahead to the coming year with hope and optimism. We get a proverbial "clean slate" every three hundred sixty-five days (yeah, yeah....I know....unless it's a leap year) with which to ditch old habits and vices and begin anew.
To start 2011 I am taking the 21 Day Challenge.
Our first "assignment" was to organize a drawer - preferably a "junk drawer." I was inspired. A not-so-quick trip to Staples later (LOVE the Post-it aisle) and I was ready to face whatever was lurking in my junk drawer in the kitchen. It hadn't been cleaned out since I moved into my house over a year ago. This is what I found:
I was SUPER glad that there weren't any gremlins hiding in there. Since I rarely open the drawer (other than to throw something in there), I was not totally sure of what I would find. After feeding the piggy bank all of the loose change at the bottom of the drawer, I gave it a healthy spray of Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day and set to work sorting through my junk. It's amazing what long-lost treasure you can find in a junk drawer! Now for the big reveal.....ta-da!
I have to say....it didn't take long at all AND my draw smells like lemon verbena now. Happy New Year and may each day begin like a clean slate! Cheers!
Yay, Kelly! Looks great! :-)
